About Us
Our Campground spans 4 hectares of beautiful natural eucalyptus forest, offering open areas for camping and various activities. With the Maroochy River and Lake Dunethin just a short walk away, it is the perfect destination for canoeing, boating, rafting, sailing, and fishing adventures.
Dunethin Rock, meaning place of swimming trees, reflects the region’s timber-logging heritage. In the 1860s, logs were floated down the Maroochy River to this location, where they were transferred onto boats destined for sawmills in Brisbane. Today, the rock continues to be cherished for its stunning vistas from the summit and is an integral part of the Maroochy River paddler’s trail.
